Zesty Lime Onion Ring Burger

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #SpringIntoFlavor #CollectiveBias

Hanging out with my family eating good food is one of my favorite things to do! Especially now that it's Spring(don't worry Summer is almost here) it's so nice to be outside enjoying a good meal that you don't feel guilty eating after. I have a delicious recipe for a zesty lime onion ring burger that is sure to have everyone wanting more! A great recipe for the spring time that's healthy and tasteful. You can use any sort of burger you would like. We used black bean burgers and I headed to my Walmart close by and picked up some of these Alexia all-natural onion rings which is the icing on the cake for this burger! They were right with the other fries in the aisle.

Zesty Lime Onion Ring Burger

For this recipe you will need the Alexia onion rings, some feta cheese, and the zesty lime sauce.

-1/2 cup greek yogurt
-2 limes
-bunch of cilantro(we used 2 bunches)
-pinch of salt
-1/2 of a jalapeƱo

Mix all together in a blender.

It's pretty simple. Add whatever toppings you would like to your burger then the onion rings, some feta cheese, and the lime sauce. It really is a great combination of flavors and perfect for an outdoor dinner with the family.

It's so nice finding food that is all natural and contains no GMO's. Alexia all natural products have 0g trans fat products. They have such a variety of organic products to choose from. This burger would pair up so well with either their rosemary and sea salt fries or the Alexia sweet potato fries with sea salt. Yum!! I want it all!

Do you have any good ideas/recipes using onion rings?! Let me know in the comments! I love trying new recipes :)

Update on Life!

Something I've come to realize lately is that breaks are good. For instance, this whole semester has been one huge break for me as far as blogging goes. Life has just been so busy. I had 17 credits this past semester and I honestly needed to be focusing on my assignments everyday. I'm so happy this semester is over with to say the least! I just wanted to give a little update on here about what we've been up to! I will be back soon though. I actually miss blogging throughout the week. I have a lot of exciting things coming up, but for right now we are enjoying our couple of weeks off as we make our way to North Carolina for our new chapter in life!

Here are some pictures of the past few weeks :)

We had our first yard sale! Since we are moving across the country we needed to get rid of a lot! For our first time doing a yard sale, it was quite successful!

We went to Las Vegas for my birthday which was so fun!I love going there because the city is so alive and I don't mind the days at the pool ;)

Dallin graduated! I'm so proud of him. Next step...medical school in the Fall!

His family came down the weekend of his graduation. We were able to run a race together in our previous family reunion Avenger t-shirts.

We've been lucky to have this fun group of friends to hang out with while we have been here. It's sad to be leaving them for sure!

Packed up, cleaned, and locked the doors for the very last time in Provo.

Now we're having a very relaxing time with his family at the cabin before we made the drive out East!

Vegas Trip 2015

This past weekend we went to Las Vegas for my birthday and I thought I would document it this time. I loved Vegas. Dallin surprised me with tickets to the Lady Gaga cheek to cheek concert and it was amazing! Ahhh can I just go back please?!

kikki.K Planner Review

I can't tell you how excited I've been to write this post! First off, I'm a such a stationary addict, like where I get so excited for school to start; solely for the purpose of buying new notebooks and pencils. Second, I have an obsession with planners. For real, sometimes I buy two for one year...

I have a secret, I've now got a planner now that I will be using forever! I'm seriously in love with this planner. It's from kikki.K and it's amazing. It's real leather and the dividers are there so you can make them your own. It's perfect for keeping my life together. If I don't write something down I usually forget it. Here are my dividers and what I decided to do!

Here is what my planner looks like right when you open it up. How cute is that fox bookmark?! kikki.K also sells cute stickers and quote cards to decorate your planner with. I made these cute little paper clips as well to hold certain spots for me,

This is my inspiration tab. I got the flag idea from their YouTube channel. They have the cutest videos with ideas on what you can do.

My to do tab :)

They also have the cutest cards. So I made a little holder for them so I can send out random notes to people :)

Behind the cards is my personal tab, which I will probably use to put my meal ideas for the week and different recipes.

My expenses tab. I need to be better at keeping our budget together and our payments organized.

My projects tab, which on the front I made a little folder to hold some cards with cute quotes on them. This tab will be used to keep my ideas for blog posts and what not. I also have some exciting things coming up in the next few months :) I've been wanting to do a YouTube channel for awhile now, but haven't had the guts to do one. So I'm finally putting one together, but there's another surprise with it! I'll keep you posted!

And my last tab is for favorites, which I'm thinking I will put things I've been wanting there.

I seriously loved decorating this planner and I can't put it down! Anyone else obsessed with planners??

Easter Basket Snack Packs

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #SnackPackMixins #CollectiveBias

Did you know that Easter is this Sunday?! Crazy right? It came up pretty fast. For me growing up we always dyed eggs as a family or other Easter crafts. I love Easter! This year I've got a new, fun activity to do with kids AND adults. Taking snack packs and turning them into a yummy Easter baskets.

A couple weekends ago we went up to Dallin's parent's house and everyone was there! His brother and his family who live in Texas and those of us who live in Provo all came up. It was so nice to all be together because we don't get that opportunity very often. So it was perfect to do this little activity with everyone and then have a treat for after dinner! It's simple and super cute!

I got the super snack packs from Walmart, who is offering a coupon right now so make sure you grab it! Here is how we made them...

-super snack packs
-jelly beans
-shredded coconut
-green food coloring

1. Crumble the oreos and put on top of the snack pack as the "dirt".
2. Dye some coconut green then lay on top as the "grass".
3. Put your jelly beans on top of the coconut.
4. Stick one end of the twizzler in the pudding and the other end in the opposite side as the handle.

Wallah! A pudding Easter Basket!

Get some more ideas here! And what are some of your favorite things to do at Easter??

Even the really little ones can be a part of the action!

I've got Floral on my Mind

Hello daylight savings. Such a bittersweet welcoming. No thanks for making me lose a hour of sleep, but I do appreciate the sun staying out longer. And yes, I am dreaming of flowers. Spring is almost here! This week is going to be so nice here as well! Going up into the 60s. Hallelujah! A little update...

-I've been crammed with homework and studying every single day. Seriously doing homework all of the time.

-I've been pretty sick. Better now, but it was quite miserable.

-Craving anything sweet.

-Started watching House of Cards. Kevin Spacey is incredible.

-I've been going crazy trying to sell all of our furniture for the big move in May.

-I haven't been wearing any makeup to school and it has been so refreshing.

-Waking up has been so difficult. All I want to do is sleep!

-I've been obsessed with coconut flavored things.

-I've really been missing teaching Zumba.

Budgeting for a Little "Me Time"

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #FreshAndGlow #CollectiveBias

"Happiness time".

It's good to take some time for yourself. To relax, enjoy, and rejuvenate. I'm all about some me time, but I'm still a student and I can't afford to go get massages or spend a day at the spa. I'm just fine with that. I have found ways that work for me so I'm able to relax and take some time to focus on me, to feel like new.

Here's a little play by play on how I go about my me time and what I got for it :)

1. Bath. Oh there's nothing better then taking a bath with hot water and just melting into the tub. Opening up my pores and basically falling asleep. I went to Walmart recently and found a new soap from the brand Softsoap. Mmmm it smells so good and it make my skin feel so soft! It's got me ready for Spring. They have two kinds. A hydrating shower cream and the exfoliating fruit polish. I got the fruit polish and its full of apricot seeds that exfoliate and help with a nice fresh glow :) I was ready to end with my me time right then :)

2. Candles. Don't forget to light some candles during the bath so help with that relaxation. I bought a new Spring scent to go along with my Spring smelling soap!

3. Tea. After my bath I made some tea. I made one called dragon-fruit devotion and it's my top favorite right now. It's so soothing and tastes amazing!

4. Chocolate. Chocolate is a must. I love me some dark chocolate and there's plenty of it around with Easter on the way.

5. Movie. Then to end the night I put on my favorite chick flick, "You've Got Mail." I'm really good at swooning over Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. I've probably watched that movie 20+ times! It's so nice to curl up under my blanket after being relaxed from my bath and grab my tea and chocolate. Perfect me time.

Now everyone's preference to how they relax is different, but this is what works for me...and my wallet! What are some ways you relax and get me time?!
